All Cars now fitted with E-Tag’s
All clients renting Avis and Budget vehicles are required to pay for tolls direct to the RTA/RMS when renting a vehicle. There is a charge of $2.20 (incl. GST) per day plus tolls on the days during a rental that tolls are incurred only.
All Avis and Budget vehicles are fitted with fixed E-Tags and drivers can no longer use their own E-Tags in rental vehicles. If a vehicle is rented that does not have an E-Tag then a number plate recognition system is utilised.
Upon vehicle collection, a Credit Card will need to be supplied for payment of the Tolls. If any Toll Charges are incurred, the RTA/RMS will charge the Credit Card supplied.
Payment must be made directly to the RTA/RMS in the following ways.
1) Show Group is able to facilitate an Avis GEB (credit card) and a Budget Direct Pin (Credit Card) account for their customers whereby the tolls and car hire will be charged to a nominated credit card whilst accessing Show Group rates.
2) If the rental is not booked on a GEB (credit card) account, then the driver may provide their personal credit card on pick up of the vehicle.
On the above options a tax invoice receipt can be downloaded from www.RTA.tolling.com.au for the charges incurred during the rental.
3) If the driver does not provide a credit card at rental, the RTA/RMS will charge a $5.50 (incl GST) fee per day, on top of the tolls used and will be mailed a tax invoice to the address on the drivers license.
